We are seeking a dedicated Scientific Service Engineer to join a leading analytical testing laboratory. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of their laboratory instruments and facilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day technical maintenance of a wide variety of advanced analytical equipment including GC, GC-FID, GCxGC, GC-MS & HPLC. Your technical knowledge and hands-on experience with these platforms will be essential to diagnosing faults, performing preventative maintenance, coordinating external servicing, and supporting instrument calibration and performance verification.

The ideal candidate will have / be:

- A degree in a scientific discipline in Engineering, Chemistry or other relevant Scientific Discipline

- Experience working in an analytical laboratory environment, preferably with a focus on the service, maintenance and repair of Chromatography and Mass Spec instrumentation

- Understanding of GxP, ISO & UKAS accreditation

- Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage external contractors and internal stakeholders are critical for success in this role.
