Meridian Business Support is seeking a passionate and creative Drama Lecturer to join our Clients, Supported Learning team at their Huntingdon Campus.
About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to deliver engaging and inclusive Drama and Creative Arts sessions to students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including SLD, ASD, MLD, and SEMH.
You will:
- Lead and teach a life skills and employability programme through drama and performance-based activities.
- Inspire students in small group settings to develop confidence, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Oversee and support instructors in delivering high-quality, personalised learning.
- Contribute to students' progress towards their EHCP targets.
- Play a key role in shaping a creative and inclusive curriculum.
- A qualified teacher (PGCE, DTLLS, DET) with a Level 2 in English and maths.
- Experience teaching students with special educational needs.
- A creative self-starter with a passion for drama and performance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with RARPA and experience delivering accredited and non-accredited programmes is desirable.
- Bonus: Skills in Makaton and qualifications in ASD are advantageous.
