Meridian Business Support is seeking a passionate and creative Drama Lecturer to join our Clients, Supported Learning team at their Huntingdon Campus.
About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to deliver engaging and inclusive Drama and Creative Arts sessions to students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including SLD, ASD, MLD, and SEMH.
You will:
  • Lead and teach a life skills and employability programme through drama and performance-based activities.
  • Inspire students in small group settings to develop confidence, communication, and collaborative skills.
  • Oversee and support instructors in delivering high-quality, personalised learning.
  • Contribute to students' progress towards their EHCP targets.
  • Play a key role in shaping a creative and inclusive curriculum.
What Were Looking For:
  • A qualified teacher (PGCE, DTLLS, DET) with a Level 2 in English and maths.
  • Experience teaching students with special educational needs.
  • A creative self-starter with a passion for drama and performance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with RARPA and experience delivering accredited and non-accredited programmes is desirable.
  • Bonus: Skills in Makaton and qualifications in ASD are advantageous.
We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with a specialism in Drama and Creative Industries, who are confident using Apple Mac software such as Photoshop, ProLogic, and GarageBand, and who are comfortable teaching English from Entry 3 to GCSE level.
