Citrus Recruit are excited to be recruiting for a Business Development Manager working with a leading parcel delivery company. Do you have a proven track record in selling within the parcel delivery industry? If so, this could be the perfect next step in your career. My client, a forward-thinking logistics business, is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record within the parcel delivery industry. In this role, you'll play a key part in driving new business growth and expanding my client’s footprint across the Newport and surrounding areas. You’ll use your sector knowledge to identify opportunities, build relationships, and deliver bespoke logistics solutions to clients who demand reliability, speed, and scalability. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of selling parcel delivery services. Responsibilities & day to day dutiesAs a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through a consultative sales approach.
  • Present tailored proposals and solutions based on client requirements.
  • Attend client meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Work closely with operational and account management teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Skills & experience required
  • Essential: Current or recent experience in sales within a parcel delivery business.
  • A proven track record in opening doors, closing deals, and develop strong commercial relationships.
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work autonomously.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
