Electrical Engineer - Industrial Manufacturing
Location: Newport, South Wales
Salary: £38,500
Shift: Permanent Early- Monday to Friday
Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays

We are currently recruiting a Electrical Engineer to join the site's skilled maintenance team, ensuring production uptime through proactive and reactive electrical maintenance on a wide range of equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to breakdowns and perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Electrical fault finding, repair, and troubleshooting on manufacturing machinery
- Support projects and improvement initiatives
- Work in accordance with health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Ensure site cleanliness and uphold high housekeeping standards
- Issue work permits and oversee contractor compliance
- Work collaboratively across teams to achieve production goals
What You'll Need:
- Time-served/apprentice-trained with relevant electrical qualifications
Experience with:
- MustAC/DC drives, inverters, and power electronics
- PLC fault finding
- Electromechanical and optical sensors
- Industrial electrical installation and safe isolation procedures
- Computer-based maintenance systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of Fanuc robots (desirable)
- Strong fault-finding/problem-solving skills
- Understanding of safe systems of work (e.g., lockout/tagout)
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on environment
