Our client is part of a global manufacturing organisation with several sites around the world.

They are currently seeking an experienced qualified accountant to join as Finance Manager based at one of their sites in Newport NP10.

Key objectives -

Ensure the efficient running of the finance department. Ensuring that goods delivered are invoiced promptly, that customers pay on time (in accordance with monthly cash targets) and that both suppliers and employees are paid on a timely basis.

Regularly assess the effectiveness of accounting systems. Ensure that they are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements and best practice. Implement new processes and streamline current processes.

Review spending patterns within the Group and identify anomalies, provide a reasoned explanation and how to manage going forwards.

Review monthly management accounts – prepare draft P&L and all summary reports.

Preparation of annual statutory accounts acting as audit lead for 4 sites and working with global team

Budget and cash flow forecasting

General finances such as VAT

Candidates will be ACCA / CIMA qualified with at least two years’ experience preferably working within a manufacturing business.
