- Leading and developing a small finance team
- Identifying and implementing process and system improvements, developing financial policies and procedures
- Overseeing year-end processes, ensuring statutory and legal compliance
- Managing budgets, forecasts and financial controls
- Presenting monthly management accounts to board and trustee meetings
- Preparing and presenting financial reports to funders in clear, accessible ways
- Liaising with the external payroll provider and ensuring compliance checks are completed
- Playing a key role in the senior leadership team
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as Head of Finance / Finance Manager / Senior Management Accountant / Commercial Accountant / Financial Controller
- To be skilled at explaining financial information to non-finance audiences
- Strong commercial awareness with empathy and emotional intelligence
- To be comfortable working independently and flexibly
- Experience in the charity sector is ideal, but not essential
- Remote working – 1 day per month in Isle of Wight office (can do more if desired)
- Flexible, part-time hours 15-22.5 per week
