Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance the horticultural standards of Belle Vue and Beechwood Parks.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of seasonal planting and landscaping projects.
  • Ensure the parks are kept clean, safe, and welcoming for visitors.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement park improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing duties.
Person Specification
  • Demonstrated broad knowledge of horticulture and strong plant knowledge skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide guidance and advice to others.
  • Willingness to contribute to and adapt to change.
  • Commitment to personal development and willingness to undertake mandatory training.
  • Understanding of and commitment to promoting the Strategic Equality Plan of Newport Town Council.
