Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant - Opportunities Across Newport
Location: Newport
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Pay: 90 - 95.00 per day (depending on experience)

About the Roles:
Academics are currently working with a number of primary schools across Newport that are seeking Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistants for long-term placements starting in September 2025.

These roles offer a fantastic opportunity to support young learners in their early stages of education and make a real impact in the classroom. We have positions available in both Year 1 and Year 2, with varying responsibilities based on the needs of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom
Work with individual pupils or small groups to support learning and development
Help create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Assist with classroom resources, displays, and day-to-day routines
Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour

Requirements:

Experience working in a primary school setting, ideally within Key Stage 1
A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for supporting young learners
Good communication and interpersonal skills
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
