Our client based in Newport is recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a BRAND NEW team that they are building for one of their product ranges. They are seeking an experienced Manufacturing, Production, or Process Engineer that has worked within the electronics industry and are open to candidates from both a Mechanical and an Electronics discipline. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Create and maintain product specifications and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Manage specifications with Enovia PLM; training will be provided.
  • Lead multiple projects, working multifunctionally with our Operations and Engineering Teams.
  • Investigate and resolve technical challenges on PCBA to support manufacturing processes, with the ability to troubleshoot at the device level.
  • Release, update, and control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide technical or product guidance to Supply Chain and Outsourcing teams.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement appropriate corrective and preventative actions.
  • Generate, review, and approve Engineering Change Orders.
  • Implement changes accurately and efficiently, following our Product Lifecycle (PLC) process.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Manufacturing, Electrical/Electronics or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing implementation and application, including 5S, VSM, SMED, and cellular manufacturing.
  • Ability to work with complex data sets and handle Statistical Process Control.
