Full-time and part-time roles available

A warm and inclusive primary school in the Newport area is currently seeking passionate Primary Teachers to join its growing team. Whether you're looking for the flexibility of supply or the consistency of a longer-term placement, a range of opportunities is available to suit your preferences.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (term-time only)
Availability: Full-time and part-time positions available
Trial days available prior to the summer holidays

The Role

As a Primary Teacher, you’ll work with children aged 3 to 7 in an environment that values creativity, exploration and a child-led approach to learning. The school is committed to nurturing every child’s potential and welcomes applications from both experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons

  • Support pupils’ development across all areas of learning

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families

  • Follow school policies on safeguarding, behaviour and wellbeing

  • For long-term roles, contribute to planning and assessment

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS in the UK (Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply)

  • Experience teaching in the Foundation Phase or a genuine interest in early years education

  • A calm, confident and caring approach to classroom management

  • Enthusiastic, proactive attitude and commitment to high-quality teaching

  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (or willingness to register)

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – support provided)

  • Access to a car is helpful but not essential
