- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies, promoting a safe and positive learning atmosphere.
- Respond to pupils' questions and provide general assistance where appropriate, without actively teaching the lesson content.
- Report back to teaching staff on pupil progress, behaviour, and any issues arising during cover lessons.
- Support the school with additional tasks during non-cover periods, which may include:
- Administrative support
- Exam invigilation
- Supporting small group work or individual pupils under teacher direction
- Assisting with break and lunchtime duties
