ABC Teachers are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming village primary school situated on the outskirts of Newport, Shropshire. This long-term position will cover a mixed Year 1/2 class from January through to July 2026.
The role
The role includes:
- Full-time class teaching responsibilities for a mixed Year 1/2 class.
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum (some shared planning provided).
- Taking responsibility for assessment, progress tracking, and communication with parents.
- Contributing to the wider school community and upholding the school’s values.

Requirements
To be considered for the Year 1/2 Teacher position, you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching the KS1 curriculum, ideally within a mixed-age class setting.
- Be committed to a full-time role from January to July 2026.
- Be confident in planning, assessing and liaising with parents and colleagues.
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, a DBS registered to the Update Service.
- Provide two recent professional references.
