Job title: Production Supervisor
Location: Hull
Salary: Circa £30k Dependant on Experience
Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30am - 5pm
Purpose of the Production Supervisor Role:
Our client is looking for a proactive and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead and develop a team across six busy production lines. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business in Hull, where you will play a key role in driving performance, maintaining high standards, and fostering a positive, solutions-focused team environment.
Key Responsibilities for a Production Supervisor:
- Lead, motivate and develop the production team across 6 production lines to consistently achieve KPIs.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager to implement and execute daily production plans.
- Identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently to avoid downtime and maintain output.
- Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity on the shop floor.
- Ensure accurate use and updating of the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to meet production targets.
Key Requirements for a Production Supervisor:
- Proven experience in a Production Supervisor role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong people leadership and team development skills.
- Hands-on approach - willing to be on the shop floor, lead by example and get stuck in.
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and results-driven mindset.
- Confident problem solver with the ability to think on your feet and take initiative.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
