Project Manager - Construction / Shopfitting

Vibe Recruit is working on behalf of a well-established and fast-growing business based in Newport, as they look to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a varied portfolio of live projects, working closely with site teams, clients, subcontractors and in-house design and development teams. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard.

The role is hands-on and site-focused, offering autonomy, variety and the chance to make a real impact within a business that is continuing to grow.

The Role

Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, estimates and tender documentation
Procure, negotiate with and manage subcontractors and suppliers
Control project costs, including variations, valuations and final accounts
Produce monthly cost reports, valuations and financial forecasts
Carry out regular site visits, working closely with site teams to ensure projects remain on track
Liaise with clients, consultants and key stakeholders
Coordinate design teams, contractors and delivery partners
Support the successful delivery of multiple projects across the company's live sites

The Person

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Manager within the construction sector (shopfitting experience is highly desirable)
Strong understanding of cost management, tendering, contracts and post-contract processes
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
Willing to travel to live sites across key regions
Full UK driving licence
Relevant construction or commercial qualifications
