Apex are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in Reinforced Concrete (RC) and Civil Engineering works to support the commercial management of complex infrastructure on NEC Projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost control, contract administration, and commercial reporting, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Management

  • Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of RC and civils packages across NEC-based projects.
  • Prepare, submit, and negotiate compensation events, early warnings, and contractual notices in line with NEC requirements.
  • Administer subcontractor contracts including procurement, assessment of applications, variations, and final accounts.
  • Maintain accurate cost forecasting, cashflow projections, and budget monitoring.

Cost Control & Reporting

  • Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and assist in pricing and cost planning for RC and civils works.
  • Conduct regular site measurements, valuations, and progress assessments.
  • Produce monthly commercial reports, CVRs, and cost/value reconciliations.
  • Monitor project risks and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor in reinforced concrete and civil engineering environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 Conditions of Contract.
  • Proven experience in cost management, valuation, variations, and change control within RC and civils projects.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in cost management software and MS Office.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
