We are working with a leading multi-national engineering business with a strong presence delivering across the high value technical engineer sectors who are looking for an electricallead to work on a brand new data centre in south wales. Reporting to a campus lead, you will join from pre-construction phase, taking control of the sizeable mechanical packages, leading a large team through the scheme to PC.

Electrical Lead Duties:

  • Support in the oversight of all day-to-day site operations.
  • Direct management of the project team, including alignment of all discipline, leads to the benefit of project goals.
  • Play a lead role in the management of Site QA in conjunction with the QA Manager.
  • Assist and lead in the management of Site Safety in conjunction with the project team and the Safety management.
  • Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme)
  • Liaise with the client and establish a trusting relationship to ensure future project opportunities.
  • To manage and drive a large electrical team to meet all project requirements and deadlines
  • Ensuring all Subcontractor documentation, including safety documentation, is maintained up to date and filed for future reference.
  • Assist in projected labour projections from the field supervisors.
  • Assist with the commercial team to ensure all variations are been captured and costs issued to the client.

Essential Criteria:

  • Good strong knowledge of the full design and construction process
  • Ability to control and manage people and programs
  • An Engineering Degree would be of advantage
  • Proven record of co-ordinating and managing large projects
  • Mission critical experience
  • Pipefitting or plumbing trade backgrounds also considered
  • Commercially astute
  • Strong on design
  • Competent working to aggressive programmes
