Position: Structural Engineer

Location: Southeast - South of Exeter

Salary: Up to 48,000

We're representing a forward-thinking structural consultancy at the forefront of digital surveying and reporting. With four offices across the UK and a 35-strong team, they are expanding in the Southeast and seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their innovative, tech-led environment.

This business specialises in structural inspections, defect diagnosis, building pathology, insurance reporting, and remedial design-with a strong focus on the residential sector and additional exposure to commercial and historic properties. Using cutting-edge technology such as live digital site reporting, they deliver efficient, accurate solutions and are growing rapidly with excellent opportunities for career development.

• Salary 35,000 - 48,000 (DOE, more for senior)

• Carry out structural inspections and diagnose building defects
• Produce live digital reports and specify remedial works
• Oversee insurance claim reporting (subsidence, fire, storm damage)
• Work with residential, commercial, and historic buildings
• Liaise with insurers, contractors, and clients to ensure quality delivery
• Report directly to the Associate Director

• Experienced in structural inspections and building defect diagnosis
• MIStructE or MICE preferred (not essential)
• Background in insurance claims and/or historic buildings beneficial
• Confident working independently with excellent communication skills
• Based in the Southeast south of Exeter, with full UK driving licence and access to a car
