Join our family run 28 bed hotel in the heart of Dartmoor National Park as our Sous Chef.

Sous Chef Salary/Benefits:

About the Role of Sous Chef

We are looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. The kitchen itself has been remodelled alongside our recently refurbished restaurant with a modern Georgian aesthetic. All kitchen equipment has been upgraded with new stylish crockery. Were looking to expand our kitchen team and assist our Head Chef in bringing life to a new menu. With an elevated direction in mind, were hopeful to find other passionate chefs.

We run a full events programme with custom menus, from street food to three course dinners. There's always something going on outside our lunch & evening menu to keep things fresh.

Sous Chef Key Responsibilities

  • Ordering.
  • Minimising wastage.
  • Assisting Head Chef in maintaining GP%.
  • Brainstorming exciting specials.
  • Creating event specific custom menus.
  • Maintaining our positive kitchen attitude.
Expected Hours:
  • 30 50 Hours per week.

Schedule:

  • Weekend availability.

Were a very hands on family business with James & Hannah (Director & GM) living on site. With previous experience running a hospitality site in Cornwall turning over 4.5 million, were excited to make the White Hart a stand out, must visit destination in Dartmoor.
