This is a rural family run business, that has thrived from exceeding clients expectations when they are with us. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to manage and run our busy kitchen and to develop the team within it. The candidate needs to have an understanding of rural communities and way of life to make sure we cater for the right market.

Over the initial 12 months, we envisage the candidate to take on the current operations, review and improve them. We will have potential for progression depending on the candidates first 12 months, with the company continuously developing its hospitality side of the business.

The candidate, needs to have the ability to problem solve and build relationships and respect from the team members and have a pro-active and positive approach to daily operations.

You would be responsible for menu development, seasonal innovation, / training, quality control, labour costs, and food costs, with a positive mindset, and supportive and inclusive culture, with an ambition to develop the business and junior team.

Main purpose of the role:

To manage all kitchen operations at a vibrant rural restaurant and bar, with high seasonal demands. Key Responsibilities

? Staff Management; Recruiting, Training and day to day management of our team (Responsible for

Kitchen Team)

? Compliance & EHO; Maintain and improve the current 5* Ratings.

? Menu Management; Drafting seasonal menus using local produce and providing a twist from the

normal. Weekly specials are a must!

? Finance; Meeting a target of 70% GP and targets issued.

? Management of waste and reduce where possible.

? Managing costs and orders, working with suppliers to get the best price for the best quality.

? Compliance: Working with our HR & HSE managers to make sure all requirements are met

? Awards and Nominations; The restaurant has received numerous awards over the year, and we expect the candidate to maintain this high standard alongside the Operations Manager.

5 day working week - 2 consecutive days off (Last orders 9:30pm) opens from 4pm 3 nights a week.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Powys - SY16- Wales: Reliably commute/Drive or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Temporary live in may be considered for the right Chef that may need to relocate

Experience:

Attention to Detail, Problem Solving and Efficiency, Team worker.

Min 7 years of culinary experience, min 1 year Head Chef

Passion for teamwork, commitment, quality, ambitious growth, good communicator and stability

Licence/Certification:

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (required)

H&S level 2 (required)

Allergen awareness training (required)

Work authorisation:

United Kingdom (required)
