Class 1 Driver (Days, Nights & Weekends Required)

Days: 03:00 - 09:00 starts

Nights: 15:00 - 19:00 starts

Pay Rate: £16.00 - 19.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are recruiting Class 1 Drivers to join our well established client based in Normanton. We are looking for day drivers and nights drivers with the flexibility to cover weekend work.

This role will be perfect for drivers looking to get 5 shifts per week in and also Drivers who are looking to work a few days per week.

Day to Day Duties

• Be prepared for various shift lengths
• Operate different trailer types
• Comply with driving rules and laws
• Ensure cab is well presented at all times
• Be prepared to use a tail lift
• Complete runs for store deliveries and trunk runs
• Handball may be required
• Ensure you load is secured correctly

Essential Skills

• Hold a valid UK C+E licence
• Have at least 2 years experience driving C+E vehicles
• No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes
• Have an in date UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
• Experience operating various trailer types
• Data on your tacho card from the last 60 days
• Be prepared for handball
• Good time keeping
• Good communication skills
• Can do' attitude

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working as an ad hoc driver on general haulage is desirable but not essential.

What training is provided?

• Written and driving assessments may be required for this role.
• Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
