What You Need Before Applying
Strong technical background in mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs), cherry pickers, or access equipment
Desire to step away from tools and take on an office-based management position
Proven ability to coach and support technicians, using your experience to improve outcomes
Excellent problem-solving skills, able to guide others through technical queries
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Competency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Organised, resilient under pressure, and comfortable managing multiple tasks
Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship

About the Role
As Breakdown & Technical Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the breakdown and technical department. Your day-to-day will involve:
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the daily operations of the Breakdown and Technical Team
Coaching and mentoring team members to improve technical knowledge and breakdown handling
Liaising with depots, service engineers, customers, and 3rd party garages
Leading cost reduction initiatives and ensuring R&M contracts are properly utilised
Handling complaint escalations and overseeing quality assessments and 1:1s
Producing and analysing breakdown reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
