Major Recruitment are currently looking for a number of Production operators to work for our client based in Yatton , North Somerset .

Role: Assembly operator

Hours: Monday to Thu 08:00-16:00, Fri 07:00- 15:00

Pay : 12.21 per Hour

Attractive Overtime Rates :

x 1.3 on weekdays

x 1.5 first 8 hours of weekend work

x 2 second 8 hours of weekend work

Job Purpose Statement / Nature of work

In this role you will need to be flexible and be prepared to work in several areas of door production. You will be the point of contact for training new operators and ensuring process adherence in your work area. You will also assist with the monitoring of the members of your production team in their day to day activities and assist in the improvements of departmental processes. You may be required to cover other team leaders in their absence.

Main Duties: Job Specific Tasks

  • Working in a range of processes associated with door production.
  • Working to the departmental procedures associated with the relevant areas of production.
  • Follow a production plan to ensure components are made to achieve on time of delivery.
  • Working to a high-quality standard.
  • Working as part of a production line
  • Working to a set plan to achieve on time delivery.
  • Working to set procedures and tolerances.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area and delegate tasks to ensure standards are maintained.

Main Duties: Health & Safety

  • Work to the company and departmental Health and Safety standards.
  • Assisting the team leader to ensure that we are compliant with Contractor Control procedures.
  • To adhere to all risk assessment controls and safe systems of work.
  • To immediately correct or report any identified hazard and ensure that near misses & accident investigations are reviewed, and that action is taken as soon as possible in order to eliminate or reduce risk.
  • Adhering to H&S standards are maintained in accordance with policy, resolve issues and seek proactive solutions.
  • To consistently prioritise the safety of the workforce.
  • Maintain personal standards of dress in line with policy and conduct yourself in a professional manner to all staff, customers and visitors.

Main Duties: Quality

  • To ensure all relevant checks and paperwork are completed.
  • Adhere to all risk assessments, safe systems of work, standard operating procedures and environmental practices.
  • Ensure you are familiar with and understand any changes in policy and understand the contents of the H+S board.
  • Monitor and measure quality issues reducing sub-standard product
  • Strive to provide our customers with products or services of quality and value that are continuously ahead of our competition.
  • Ensure quality standards are achieved and maintained
