Interim Finance Manager - £200/day - Start ASAP - Hull - Closing date 3rd June 2025
We're working with a well-established, commercially-driven business based in the heart of Hull. They're looking for an experienced Interim Accountant to roll up their sleeves and hit the ground running. This is an ongoing assignment, kicking off immediately and offering £200/day.
This isn't one of those "keep the lights on" finance roles. The Finance team is sharp, the Commercial team is engaged, and the directors want real insights not just numbers.
You'll be supporting the Head of Commercial, helping drive decision-making, and ensuring month-end doesn't turn into month-and-end.
Duties
- Journals, balance sheet verifications, and all the nuts and bolts done properly
- Accounting for one-off issue
- Full visibility Director Reports by WD5 (you know the drill)
- Two days later: a streamlined Management Report for wider consumption
- Forecasting (6+6)
- Pull together income and expense forecasts from budget holders
- Partnering with Commercial to challenge and review assumptions
- Oversee local sales processing
- Reconcile intercompany balances
- Management accounts delivery by WD12
Finance Team Oversight Keep an eye on outsourced credit control
- Support the Bookkeeper and AP with processing queries
- Weekly cash flow forecasting
- Commercial projects
- Controls and process improvements
- Procurement process input where needed
Your Need
- Solid management accounting experience
- Confidence to advise, support, and challenge when needed
- The ability to start yesterday (or very close to it)
This role is based in Hull, and you'll be on-site, close to the action, close to the team, and close to the coffee machine. £200 per day. Immediate start. Ongoing contract.
