1:1 Teaching Assistant (Part-Time)

£19,000 - £23,000 per annum (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role  

Vision for Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant on behalf of a Primary School in Retford. The role is due to start in September 2025 and is required until the end of the Academic Year. You will be needed to work on a Monday to Friday morning (8:30-12:00). The role is based on a 1:1 basis supporting a pupil in Year 1 with additional needs.  

Your duties and responsibilities are: 

  • To provide support with emotional, social and behavioural problems.  

  • Supervise and support to ensure the pupils safety whilst accessing learning and play.  

  • Encouraging pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the class teacher.  

  • Gathering/ reporting information and passing this onto either parents/carers and outside agencies.  

 

This Primary School is Ofsted rated ‘’Good’’ and the school are looking to achieve ‘’Outstanding’’ in their next inspection. The school are looking for the right candidate who is enthusiastic, passionate and eager to help make a difference.  

 

Requirements  

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;  

  • Experience of working with KS2 aged children  

  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND particularly ASD 

  • An ability to work as part of a team and individually 

  • Punctual, reliable and adaptable attitude to work.
