Early Years Teaching Assistant – North Shields


Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Start Date: January

Are you passionate about supporting children in their early years? We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA) to join a supportive primary school in North Shields starting in January. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working closely with young children, including those with additional needs, and wants to make a positive impact during the crucial early stages of learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support classroom learning and activities in the EYFS setting

  • Provide one-to-one support for a child with cerebral palsy

  • Assist with preparing resources and leading group or individual activities

  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

  • Be a reliable, positive role model for all pupils

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting early years or primary-aged children

  • Confidence working with children with SEND or additional needs

  • A flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to child development
