QHSE Lead

Staffing Innovations is working with a first class manufacturing client leading the way in its field. With significant investment, the company is expanding and looking to recruit an experienced QHSE lead for its business.
The role of QHSE is to support the Quality Manager and quality team in achieving adherence to the quality, environmental and health and safety standards of this exciting business according to legislation and procedures. Active involvement in the drive for change and continuous improvement. This role is key to the companies’ achievement of World Class Manufacturing and a 'zero defects and zero accidents’ culture.
Key job elements;
- Provide operational support on all aspects of health, safety, environment and quality and drive QHSE standards
- Compile accident and incident reports and undertake incident investigations as required
- Performance testing of current products, to ensure adherence to specification
- Actively participate in root cause analysis for complaints and internal issues
- Collate accident statistics, categorise accidents and undertake trend analysis
- Conduct Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety audits and implement corrective measures as required
- Ensure the business has sufficient First Aider and Fire Marshall and inform them of any changes to policies, regulations and issues raised.
- Undertake compliance audits
- Maintain the management system and identify and implement initiatives to improve it including all procedures, processes, safe systems of work, and Risk Assessments
The successful QHSE lead must have;
- Experience of working within Quality is a must
- Experience of working within a FMCG workplace
- Qualified in Internal Auditing (BRCGS &/or ISO9001 , ISO 14001, ISO 45001.SPC & MSA techniques.)
- NEBOSH Health and Safety at work …
- Experience of product safety including an understanding of the principles of HACCP,
- Experience in product safety risks and the controls in place to BRCGS and/ or ..experience of ISO9001 , ISO 14001or ..ISO45001 ..quality management system ..requirements
- Problem Solving techniques/ RCA.
- Laboratory experience
- Good knowledge of current health and safety legislation and HSE best practises
Candidates must be a qualified QHSE lead.
Hours - Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours.
8.00am- 5.30pm Some flexibility required on these from time to time (e.g. audit prep, training ) *Normal working hours can be discussed at offer.
Holiday is 33 days per annum (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
Pension is 4% EE and 4% (min) ER contribution.
