We are seeking an experienced Estates professional to lead the management of a diverse property portfolio within a public sector setting. Reporting to the Principal Estates Manager and working closely with Strategic Asset Management and Facilities teams, you will play a key role in implementing the Corporate Landlord model and delivering estate services in line with RICS and CIPFA standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management of a complex property portfolio, ensuring compliance, safety, and sustainability.

  • Maximise rental income and manage commercial estates effectively.

  • Oversee acquisitions, disposals, asset valuations, and lease management.

  • Deliver key property-related projects and support asset management strategy development.

  • Line manage and mentor a small team of property professionals.

  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, supporting collaborative service delivery.

  • Contribute to strategic planning, risk management, and the continuous improvement of estate functions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in estate or property management within the public sector.

  • Strong understanding of property law, governance, and strategic asset planning.

  • Experience managing complex projects, budgets, and teams.

  • Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) preferred or working towards.
