Role: IT Technician
Location: Northallerton
Salary: 28,000 - 32,000
We're supporting a reputable accountancy firm in Northallerton in their search for a Sole IT Engineer to take ownership of their internal IT operations.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be the go-to person for all things IT, covering day-to-day support, systems maintenance, and liaising with external providers when needed. It's ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy and is confident managing IT for a small but busy professional environment.
The Role:
- First point of contact for all IT issues (hardware, software, network, printers, etc.)
- Manage and maintain servers, backups, security updates, and user accounts
- Support Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, and line-of-business applications
- Liaise with third-party IT vendors and service providers
- Ensure systems run smoothly and securely in line with regulatory standards
What We're Looking For:
- Solid experience in a standalone IT support or similar role
- Confident with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and general networking
- Comfortable supporting non-technical users in a professional office setting
- Proactive, well-organised, and able to prioritise without supervision
