Mechanical Design Engineer required for a welding and fabrication projects specialist with a renowned reputation for the quality of their work. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a varied role as the company work in a broad range of industries on a variety of products.
This role would suit an experienced design engineer or draughtsperson with experience using SolidWorks. Candidates with experience in any metal / fabrication industry are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will be responsible for using SolidWorks to produce designs for a range of fabrication projects, from platforms, to stairs, conveyors, manholes to gates and more.
The Mechanical Design Engineer:
· Using SolidWorks
· Compiling materials and costs for quotations
· Site visits to support measurements and customer liaison – the company typically work within a 30-mile radius.
· Work with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are accurately products
· Liaison with clients and subcontractors to understand project requirements through to completion
