Eutopia Search is proud to be retained by a forward-thinking organisation undergoing significant transformation. We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the Central Finance team on a 12 month FTC.

This is a hands-on leadership role that offers the opportunity to drive financial integrity, shape best practice, and support a high-performing team. If you're a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for process improvement, people development, and working within a complex organisational structure, this could be the perfect next step.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial control activities across a multi-entity Business Unit.
  • Review and own the accuracy of journals prepared by both onshore and offshore finance teams.
  • Oversee monthly financial submissions, ensuring all validations are completed and Group reporting requirements are met.
  • Partner with Financial Accountants to deliver robust monthly balance sheet reconciliations, resolve variances, and highlight financial risks.
  • Act as key point of contact for internal and external audit, ensuring timely and thorough responses to all requests.
  • Prepare and review annual statutory accounts and tax submissions, including quarterly VAT returns and international tax considerations.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and collaborate across business units to resolve discrepancies.
  • Respond to ad hoc financial reporting requests and manage key stakeholder relationships.

  • Strong leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring and developing finance teams.
  • Excellent understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R) best practices and controls.
  • Experience in complex, multi-entity organisations—ideally with Group-level reporting exposure.
  • Skilled in statutory reporting, VAT submissions, and intercompany accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with confidence handling large datasets.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and a solutions-driven mindset.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a finance function that plays a vital role in shaping the business’s future. If you're motivated by transformation, control, and leadership, and want to work in a team that values continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.
