An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Accountant to work for an outstanding Independent Research Organisation that focuses on discovering and maintaining key heritage sites in Britain. The role will be supporting the Finance Director maintaining the accounts for the company projects.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Produce the monthly management accounts and provide commentary
- Prepare and manage project accounting in compliance with FRS102
- Perform Work In Progress (WIP) calculations
- Collaborate with project heads to optimise project outcomes
- Investigate and resolve financial anomalies
- Maintain Cashflow Forecast
- Numerical competency and accuracy
- Meeting monthly deadlines and reporting in timely manner
- Flexibility in adopting new systems and processes
- Make updates to projects in the project management system, including
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
- Proven experience in a commercial or Charity accounting department
- Strong experience in management accounting reporting for month-end
- Experience working as a Project Accountant
- Experience with cost accounting
- Strong system skills particularly Microsoft Excel proficiency
