Macildowie are working with a growing organisation within the gaming sector to recruit an ambitious Assistant Accountant to support their finance team at a critical point of growth.

This hybrid role offers the opportunity to be involved in a broad range of accounting responsibilities, working closely with the Finance Manager and contributing to accurate financial reporting and process improvement.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain the Accounts Payable ledger with accuracy and discipline
  • Manage treasury tasks including bank reconciliations and credit card processing
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and journal postings
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and internal reporting
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations with clear supporting analysis
  • Resolve supplier and internal queries promptly and professionally
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable tasks when required
  • Help strengthen financial controls and enhance reporting processes

What you'll need:

  • AAT part or fully qualified
  • Previous experience in an assistant accountant or transactional finance role
  • Strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial control
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office tools
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data
  • Experience with NetSuite is desirable but not essential
