We're working with a leading company in Northampton who need a trainee Maintenance Technician to join their field based team. MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE DUE TO A RURAL HEAD OFFICE LOCATION.

As a Labourer, you'll be learning the ropes from skilled Maintenance Technicians working alongside a strong team to learn how to install and maintain equipment on construction sites. This isn't just a labouring job where you're treated like a number. You'll be learning the trade, getting hands-on with the machinery, and building skills that'll take you to becoming a fully trained technician. We're talking about a proper career path, not just a job.

So, what will you be doing in this role? Here's the lowdown:

  • Conducting inspections of installed equipment
  • Complete general maintenance and servicing work
  • General metalwork, woodworking and touch ups
  • Surfacing using a range of materials
  • Completing reports following inspections
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
  • Using a range of construction tools and equipment

Now, let's talk about who we're looking for. We need someone with:

  • Must have strong practical skills, ideally with a knowledge of contruction processes
  • Able to work with your hands and use various hand tools
  • CSCS card preferred
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independantly and within a team
  • Must be able to drive
  • Comfortable staying away on occasions
