This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking to take ownership of site-wide infrastructure, safety compliance, and maintenance strategy in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running, compliance, and continuous improvement of the site’s facilities. You’ll be at the forefront of managing contractors, overseeing preventative maintenance schedules, handling site refurbishments, and ensuring safety standards are not just met - but exceeded.This role offers variety, autonomy, and a real opportunity to drive operational excellence within a logistics and warehousing setting.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all building systems and services across the distribution centre.
  • Oversee planned preventative maintenance to ensure optimal site performance.
  • Lead site refurbishments and renovation projects, liaising with contractors and suppliers.
  • Maintain Health & Safety compliance (including legal and environmental standards).
  • Take ownership of internal MHE and FLT management systems.
  • Supervise site security, cleaning, and waste management functions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in a warehouse environment.
  • Manage maintenance and facilities budgets, identifying opportunities for cost saving.
  • Support the operational team and remain flexible to occasional shift or weekend issues.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in facilities management, ideally within a warehouse or distribution centre.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Sound understanding of H&S practices – IOSH qualification highly desirable.
  • Tech-savvy with excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Holds a valid UK driving licence.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and adaptable.
Desirable (Not Essential)
  • Degree or qualification in Facilities or Property Management.
  • Familiarity with CDM regulations.
  • Budget management and supplier negotiation experience.
