Job Overview
Surecall are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Trampers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods across various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations.
Duties:
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, primarily flatbed lorries, for long-distance transportation of goods.
- Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as per company policy.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
Qualifications:
- Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of delivery driver responsibilities and logistics operations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights away from home as required.
