We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Windows Server administration and experience in Azure and AWS cloud platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimising our organisation's infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and security. The Infrastructure Engineer will also work closely with the development and operations teams to support the deployment of applications and services in the cloud.

As a member of our Technical Services team, you will be tasked with constructing and upholding the daily operations of their infrastructure services. Your duties will encompass overseeing the performance of the environment by identifying and remedying issues and disruptions, planning upgrades, and collaborating with colleagues to optimise cloud usage.

Furthermore, you will be expected to provide third-line support to them, their clients, and occasionally visit sites to provide additional assistance, ensuring that appropriate system maintenance, patches, capacity, and availability are implemented. You will be responsible for assessing automation technologies and identifying areas for improvement, while also considering how to simplify particular tasks and systems.

Excellent communication skills are necessary for the position, as you will need to liaise with vendors and IT personnel to resolve problems and support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of on-premises software and hardware, such as VMware, HP Servers, and Microsoft Servers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, preferably in a cloud-based environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as System Center Operations Manager, Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios.
• Knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
