We are currently recruiting for a Press Brake Setter Operator to join a leading sheet metal company based in Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term, stable position with full training and development available for the right candidate.
Location: Northampton
Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:30pm-6:00am
Pay Rate: 14.00 - 16.00 per hour
Duties:
- Setting and operating press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and job specifications
- Conducting quality checks to ensure finished parts meet specification
- Adjusting machine settings for different materials, thicknesses, and designs
- Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Logging production output and reporting any defects or non-conformances
- Working collaboratively with the production team to meet daily targets
The ideal candidate must:
- Previous experience setting and operating press brake machinery
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- A good understanding of sheet metal processes and materials
- High attention to detail and quality
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
- Willingness to learn and develop with bespoke training provided
