Design technician

Full time

£22,900-£24,500

A secondary school in Northampton are looking to appoint a design technician to start as soon as possible. You will be working 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year. Tasks will involve;

  • Support of teaching and learning throughout Design Faculty.
  • General Faculty administration tasks
  • Monitoring stock levels of materials, tools and equipment, and re-ordering as necessary ensuring that ‘best value for money’ is obtained.
  • Checking and maintenance of hand tools and machinery for safe use.
  • Monitoring of Health and Safety including conducting checks and external servicing
  • Attend/update data courses as required for safe use and maintenance of machinery

We are looking for someone who:

·         enjoys being part of a team

·         highly organised

·         able to work under pressure at busy times such as exam periods and exhibitions

·         can be flexible

·      Experience would be advantageous but full training will be provided.
