Yard Manager
Fawkes & Reece are recruiting for a Yard Manager on behalf of a well-established brickwork and scaffold company. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term security with a reliable and supportive team.
About the role of Yard Manager
You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the yard, managing materials, scaffolding equipment, and logistics. The role supports multiple live construction projects and plays a vital part in keeping sites running efficiently.
Responsibilities for Yard Manager
- Manage all inbound and outbound deliveries
- Organise, track, and maintain stock of materials and tools
- Ensure the yard is kept clean, safe, and compliant with H&S standards
- Oversee tool and equipment checks, cleaning, and maintenance
- Coordinate closely with site teams and suppliers
- Supervise any yard operatives or drivers
Requirements for Yard Manager
- Previous yard or logistics experience in a construction setting
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Familiarity with scaffolding or brickwork materials beneficial
- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
- Telehandler would advantageous be licence preferred but not essential
