Salary: NHS Band 5 (31,049 - 33,487, pro rata)
Hybrid: 2 days on-site ideally (some weeks may be 1 day) - flexible between two sites

Sellick Partnership is partnering with an NHS organisation to recruit 2x Finance Analysts on a 6-month fixed-term basis.

The Responsibilities of the Finance Analyst will be:

  • Supporting the Financial Management team with monthly reporting, analysis and data for budget holders
  • Preparing reports, analysis and ad-hoc financial information to support decision-making
  • Assisting with variance analysis, financial modelling and forecasts
  • Acting as a point of contact for budget holders and providing advice on financial queries
  • Producing complex information in a clear and concise way for both finance and non-finance managers
  • Supporting the month-end process including journals, reconciliations, and reporting.

The Ideal candidate for the Finance Analyst will have:

  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyse large datasets
  • Good numerical skills with the ability to deep dive into data and provide meaningful insights
  • The ability to multitask effectively, particularly during month end where parallel tasks are required
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with budget holders across the organisation
  • Experience with advanced finance systems
  • NHS finance experience is desirable, but candidates from wider public sector or private backgrounds will also be considered
  • AAT/part-qualified or qualified by experience (full qualification not required at this level).
