We’re working with a long-established, multi-office independent practice known for their strong client relationships, high staff retention, and supportive culture. They’re now looking for an Audit & Accounts Manager to join their team and play a key role in leading client engagements and mentoring junior staff.

This is an excellent opportunity to build on your experience in a varied and rewarding role, working with a diverse portfolio of clients across sectors including manufacturing, tech, charities, professional services and more.

What the role looks like:You’ll be responsible for managing a mixed portfolio of audit and accounts clients, ensuring high-quality delivery and acting as the main point of contact. You’ll plan and review audit assignments, prepare complex accounts, liaise with partners on strategy, and help drive continuous improvement across the department.

The role also includes supervising and coaching junior staff, reviewing work, and supporting professional development within the team - so it's ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical and people side of practice.

What they’re looking for:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Proven experience managing audits and accounts in practice
  • Excellent client communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong technical knowledge including FRS 102
  • Comfortable leading teams and reviewing junior work
  • Commercially aware with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
  • Positive, organised and committed to high standards
