North Northamptonshire Council was established in 2021. Having gone through the Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) process they now successfully form one of the largest unitary councils in the country.

North Northamptonshire Council have an established network of senior leaders from CEO to Assistant Director level that are working together to build a supportive "one-Council" culture which is central to their approach and helps to build solid foundations needed to drive future service improvements. This is an excellent opportunity to play an integral part in this as the . Strategic Finance Business Partner.

Key responsibilities of the Strategic Finance Business Partner will include:

  • Supporting Enabling Services including the Chief Executive, Finance, Legal, HR, Customer Services and IT.
  • Providing effective management and control across Enabling Services for the annual revenue budget, the Medium-Term Financial Strategy and the capital programme.
  • Overall financial governance ensuring controls are in place and are being effectively maintained.
  • Take a leading role across the organisation in supporting Executive Directors, Assistant Directors and Service Managers in the overall stewardship of the Council's finances.
