An organisation is seeking an experienced 3rd Line Windows Engineer to perform a combination of Level 3 support and project-based tasks, supporting a range of IT platforms primarily within the public sector. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to remain effective under pressure during incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Migrate infrastructure from on-premise to cloud (including Intune and Exchange Online)
  • Support and deploy virtual desktop environments (VMware Horizon)
  • Build and maintain desktop images, package and deploy applications
  • Administer and support Windows Server 2019+ (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, Certificate Services)
  • Support SQL Server 2016, Exchange Server, and backup systems (e.g., Arcserve UDP)
  • Manage virtual environments using VMware ESXi 7.0+ and vCenter 6.7+
  • Work within System Centre environments

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in both support and project roles
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Current SC Clearance (or eligibility for DV Clearance)

Desirable:

  • Industry certifications (e.g., MCP, MCSA, MCSE)
  • Experience working in secure or regulated environments

Location: Primarily office-based, with some remote work and UK travel to client sites.
