This is a full time role with the role starting as soon as possible or at a given date depending on the right candidate.


We are seeking a passionate and innovative Class Teacher to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will support learners in achieving their ambitions while promoting a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to secondary-aged students.

  • Provide emotional support and guidance, promoting students' wellbeing and personal development.

  • Employ creative teaching strategies to engage learners and foster a love of learning.

  • Support the academic and social development of students with special educational needs.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan, assess, and enhance student learning.

  • Maintain professional communication with staff, students, and parents.

  • Promote school values, including equality, diversity, safeguarding, wellbeing, and British values.

  • Manage classroom time effectively to ensure high-quality learning experiences.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to engage learners and support their ambitions.

  • Passionate about positively impacting students' lives.

  • Teaching Qualification (QTS/QTLS) or willingness to work towards it.

  • Experience working in a school environment, preferably secondary education.

  • Understanding of alternative provision and SEN needs.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Desirable:

  • Degree in a relevant teaching subject or equivalent for SEN.

  • Specialist teaching qualification.

  • Experience with creative and innovative teaching approaches.

  • Proficiency in English, Maths, and Science (minimum grade 4/C or higher).
