Simply Education are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and discreet Personal Assistant to the Headteacher to provide exceptional administrative and operational support at the heart of the school.

This is a key role requiring a professional and confident individual with excellent interpersonal skills, who can manage a busy workload while maintaining a calm and approachable manner. You will be the first point of contact for the Headteacher and play a crucial role in the smooth running of their schedule and school communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Headteacher's diary, appointments, and meetings.
  • Handle confidential correspondence with discretion and professionalism.
  • Prepare reports, agendas, minutes, and presentations for senior leadership and governing body meetings.
  • Liaise with staff, parents, governors, external agencies, and the local authority on behalf of the Headteacher.
  • Support the coordination of whole-school events and key communications.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely responses to key tasks and deadlines.
  • Manage email correspondence and screen phone calls and visitors appropriately.
  • Support school projects and initiatives as required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience as a PA, administrator, or office manager (ideally within an education or public sector setting).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A high level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
