Asset Tracking & Stock Control AdministratorLocation – West Northamptonshire Salary - £30,500 per annumHours – 8AM – 5PM Monday – FridayRole Overview:An established organisation is seeking a proactive and hands-on Asset Tracking & Stock Control Administrator to support its operations. This vital role ensures that all equipment and materials are accurately tracked, properly maintained, and readily available for use. The successful candidate will work closely with department leaders, warehouse staff, and operational teams, engaging both in administrative functions and physical work in the yard to ensure stock integrity and asset readiness.Key Responsibilities:Asset & Stock Management-Maintain up-to-date records of all company assets, including location, condition, and availability.-Conduct regular audits and stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy.-Physically inspect and assess the condition of equipment, reporting any issues or maintenance needs.-Assist in the allocation and mobilisation of assets for operational projects.Hands-On Yard & Warehouse Work-Collaborate directly with yard and warehouse teams to verify equipment and organise stock effectively.-Ensure assets are stored safely and systematically to minimise loss or damage.-Participate in the preparation, loading, and unloading of equipment for dispatch when needed.Process Improvement & Accountability-Proactively identify inefficiencies within asset tracking and stock control processes and propose practical solutions.-Investigate discrepancies in stock levels and work with relevant teams to determine and rectify root causes.-Maintain detailed records of all asset movements and transactions for audit and reporting purposes.The ideal candidate will have…-Practical Experience: Background in stock control, warehouse operations, or asset management, ideally within industrial or construction environments.-Organisational Skills: Ability to manage large inventories with precision and maintain accurate documentation.-Attention to Detail: Strong focus on ensuring assets are accounted for, in good condition, and stored appropriately.-Team Communication: Effective communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and resolve issues collaboratively.-Problem Solving: Proactive in identifying problems and implementing solutions that improve operational efficiency.-Technical Competence: Basic proficiency with inventory or stock tracking systems; training can be provided as needed.-Physical Capability: Comfortable working in a yard setting, performing manual tasks, and handling equipment.This role offers a unique blend of physical and administrative duties in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
