Position: Legal Secretary
Location: Northampton
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm (37.5 hours per week)

Key Knowledge Areas:
Essential:
Experience with tax planning, preparation of wills, and wealth protection
Handling of High Net Worth and complex matters
Lasting Powers of Attorney
Trusts, including Family Investment Companies and declarations of trust
Probate, including taxable estates, foreign assets, and claims for property reliefs
Knowledge of Inheritance Tax
Desirable:

Minimum of 1years' experience in a private client legal team

Ability to manage own workload when necessary

Strong legal drafting and proofreading abilities

Competence in handling client correspondence and legal document preparation

Efficient file and record management

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems

Commercial and practical awareness

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Team-oriented with good negotiation and organizational capabilities

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
