Join our Private Client Team, which complements our firm's commercial legal services by providing comprehensive solutions to our clientele, primarily consisting of entrepreneurs, company directors/shareholders, and high-net-worth individuals. This role is based in Northampton, with occasional requirements to attend other office locations as directed by your manager.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Manage your own caseload, focusing on Tax Planning, Wills, Wealth Protection, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Trusts.
  • Handle complex probate cases, including those with taxable estates and foreign elements, and experience in claiming Business Property Relief (BPR) and Agricultural Property Relief (APR).
  • Draft and proofread client correspondence, legal documents, and manage file organisation and client document maintenance.
  • Interact with clients and manage client relationships at a senior level, ensuring high standards of communication and service.
  • Assist in marketing efforts and develop contacts for the team and the firm.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in handling high-net-worth and complex matters is advantageous.
  • Proficient in IT and online systems (Microsoft Office, legal industry-specific document management systems, online portals/datarooms, etc.).
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at senior levels.
  • Commercial, practical, and financial awareness.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
