Transport Co-ordinator – Northampton
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 20:00 – 06:00 (some flexibility available)
About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Transport Co-ordinator / Night Manager to join our customer, a well-established courier and freight forwarder based in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with a background in route planning and night operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and optimise efficient delivery routes for NN and OX postcodes.
- Produce daily route plans for both Vans and HGVs.
- Support night operations by aiding trunk drivers.
- Conduct driver debriefs at the end of each shift.
- Create and manage loading schedules for the warehouse team.
This role centre’s on route planning but offers plenty of room for you to take initiative and make it your own.
Requirements
- Proven experience in route planning for palletised deliveries (essential).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently during night shifts.
- Excellent knowledge of the local area (NN and OX postcodes beneficial).
